A delegation composed of executives of Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) headed by its President & COO Mr. Dirk Meyer, visited Tsinghua on May 15. Tsinghua Deputy President Chen Jining met and had a discussion with Mr. Meyer. 

During their talks, Deputy President Chen briefly briefed Mr. Meyer on Tsinghua’s disciplines development, education, research and international cooperation. They expressed hopes that more collaboration could be built between Tsinghua and ADM in the future, especially in student cultivation and overseas student internship.        

AMD donated RMB 100 million to set up a scholarship at Tsinghua. During the ceremony held on May 15, Mr. Meyer, Karen Guo, Senior Vice President, Presideng of Greater China, as well as  executives, awarded the certificates to the scholarship winners.
