Chairman of Tsinghua University Council Professor Chen Xi met with Japanese Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr. Osamu Uno on March 16. Tsinghua Vice President Xie Weihe participated in the discussion.

Professor Chen gave a brief introduction to talents cultivation, research, and disciplines development in Tsinghua and exchanged views with Mr. Uno on joint education cooperation, disciplines development, and China-Japan youth exchange.

Prior to the meeting, Mr. Uno and his delegation visited Tsinghua’s School of Sciences and held a talk with academician Zhu Bangfen on possibilities for future cooperation.
